Certified Social Worker
Hope Vain is a Certified Social Worker that provides outpatient therapy to individuals and families. Hope has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky as well as a bachelor’s degree in family science. Additionally, she received two certificates in substance use disorders and clinical social work to provide a well-rounded approach to assisting clients. Treatment is focused on a comprehensive assessment with goal-oriented therapy utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, and play therapy techniques.
During her graduate studies, she completed a clinical rotation at Horn and Associates with Suzanne Griffin, LCSW, focusing on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and individuals with brain injuries. She also completed a practicum rotation at Voices of Hope, a recovery community center, where she learned the impact of addiction and recovery on individuals and their family support systems. Hope was part of the front office staff at Horn and Associates for two years and worked extensively with the acquired brain injury clients seen at Horn. Hope has professional experience working in the public school setting and is dedicated to partnering with children and adolescent clients’ educational support systems. Hope continues participating in continuing education courses regarding the evaluation procedures and treatment for ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Anxiety, Depression, and family dynamics for children and adolescents.
Hope is currently under the supervision of Suzanne Griffin, LCSW.
