Dyslexia Intervention at Horn and Associates

Expert Therapy for Reading Impairments

At Horn and Associates, our therapists are trained to diagnose and treat reading impairments, including dyslexia, using evidence-based approaches.

What Is Dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. Signs of dyslexia may be evident as early as kindergarten. Early diagnosis and intervention can have a lasting impact on a child’s academic and personal development.

Horn & Associates’s Approach to Dyslexia Intervention

Our comprehensive dyslexia evaluations examine:

  • Phonological processing skills (e.g., phonological awareness)

  • Reading fluency

  • Listening comprehension

  • Receptive and expressive verbal language

Evidence-Based Treatment for Dyslexia

We use a structured literacy approach aligned with the Orton-Gillingham method. This method features:

  • Systematic and explicit instruction

  • Multisensory learning using listening, speaking, reading, and writing

Our therapists also assist in developing Section 504 plan accommodations to support students in school environments.
