Susan, a speech-language pathologist, earned her M.A. from Ohio University after receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University. She also completed 2+ years of post-Master’s education at the University of Kentucky focusing on the education of persons with special needs. She has worked for Horn and Associates in Rehabilitation since 1989. Susan has specialized for the past 20 years in therapy with adults who have traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), neurological impairments, and/or oral-pharyngeal-esophageal dysphagia. She has participated in continuing education regarding ABI/TBI, dysphagia, and neurological issues secondary to CVA, neurological diseases/conditions, and dementia/Alzheimer’s disease. Susan has conducted numerous modified barium swallow studies in the acute care setting. She continues to provide multidisciplinary functional communication and dysphagia therapy services to adults in clinic, community, and home-based settings via individual and group therapy service models.
