Sarah Johnson graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in July of 2022 and shortly after started her career with Horn and Associates. Her love for occupational therapy and working with children dates back to her first time shadowing an OT in high school. Shortly after pursuing her education in occupational therapy, she became a director at a child development gym, and met her stepdaughter—who fueled her passion and taught her the most over the past five years. Along the way she have had the privilege of being mentored by exceptionally skilled OTs and working alongside fieldwork supervisors who supported her in being the therapist she is today.
During her education, Sarah developed a passion for diversity and created a new organization at EKU so other students may integrate their passion for occupational therapy and diversity as she had. Today, a respect for diversity is one of the many foundations that guides me as a practicing clinician. Her other specific areas of interest are sensory integration and feeding therapy. When she is not working you can find her spending time with her husband, stepdaughter, and 2 dogs or reading a book!
