Dr. Horn obtained a Master of Science in Speech/Language Pathology from the University of Kentucky and initially worked as a Speech/Language Pathologist at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati. Donna established this practice while a doctoral student in the Experimental Psychology program at the University of Kentucky within the division of cognitive/developmental psychology from which she completed her Ph.D. Her research and clinical interests have included the interface of attention, literacy, and language discourse with recent publications including Expository Intervention with Adolescents. She additionally completed research in the areas of expository text and early literacy and language intervention (generalization of grammatical constructs, parental interface, expository text comprehension, selective attention and language) and authored both text and journal articles. Dr. Horn has been an invited speaker to over 50 conferences and workshops at both national and international levels. Currently, Dr. Horn works with individuals within discourse (oral and written) at the middle, high school, and post-secondary levels.
